“Chair-Portrait” Series 2024

“Created over three months from April to July 2024, the Chair-Portrait series captures a critical period in my life, during which I became fascinated by the unique nature of chairs. Chairs, though products of human invention, compel us to conform physically to their individual forms. We design chairs, yet they assert control over our bodies when we engage with them.

I don't have definitive interpretations for each painting; rather, they serve as expressions of my spiritual yearning for a hallucination, a pure existence beyond physicality. I brought my chairs to life, and in the moment I finished painting them, I extended my existence beyond my flesh.”
