“During the pandemic in 2020, as a high school senior, I faced intense self-doubts and insecurities about the future. Inspired by Paul Gauguin, this series marked my first venture into oil pastels, a medium that continues to resonate with me today. The year 2020 holds special significance for me, as these works became a public display of my vulnerability and inner struggles.”
